Tall Oaks Camp

I was contracted by the Disciples of Christ Church to create a promotional video showcasing the unique value of their children’s camps at Tall Oaks Conference Center. Over multiple visits to the camp in DeSoto, Kansas, I captured a wide range of activities and age groups, using Sony cameras, a DJI drone, and stabilization tools including a slider and Flycam handheld stabilizer.

The environment presented significant challenges: harsh sunlight, loud insects, and activities taking place concurrently on opposite sides of the camp, but I adapted quickly and captured dynamic footage and authentic testimonials from campers and counselors, which I wove together in Adobe Premiere. The final video is full of energy and warmth, balancing cinematic movement with heartfelt storytelling to highlight the camp’s spirit and inspire families to participate.
